Community and Human Services Residency at Niagara Frontier Center Draws More than 60

Brenda McDuffieMore than 60 attendees participated in the Niagara Frontier Center's (NFC) community and human services residency "A Kaleidoscope of Human Services" on Oct. 22. The day included workshops by NFC mentors on topics such as working with people with disabilities, substance abuse in the workplace and the effects of childhood neglect and maltreatment on the brain, as well as a career fair that included several local agencies and the University at Buffalo and Medaille College master's degree programs.

The residency also featured a luncheon with guest speaker Brenda Mc Duffie, above, president and CEO of the Buffalo Urban League, who presented "You are Part of the Solution."
