The Northeast Center has launched a new peer coaching program for students having difficulty balancing work, home and classes; understanding course materials; who want to improve their study skills and learning strategies; or who find it confusing to navigate SUNY Empire State College’s resources, such as MyESC or the library.

The program is designed to support students in achieving their academic goals. This free service offers assistance by assigning a trained peer coach to help with specific subject matter or provide academic support and encouragement.

If you are a student in need of assistance, please contact the Department of Academic Support where every effort will be made to find a peer coach for each request received.

Details, including a schedule of availability, are posted at Walk-ins are welcome when coaches are onsite.

For more information, email Sarah Spence-Staulters, peer coaching program coordinator, at or call the Office of Academic Support at 518-783-6203, ext. 5948.
