Assistant Professor Kim Stote Publishes in Public Health Nutrition and The Journal of Nutrition

Dr. Kim Stote, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.D., at left, assistant professor and academic area coordinator in health services at the Center for Distance Learning, recently published, “The number of 24 h dietary recalls using the US Department of Agriculture's automated multiple-pass method required to estimate nutrient intake in overweight and obese adults,” in Public Health Nutrition (http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayAbstract?fromPage=online&aid=8362326). She also published “Whey Protein but Not Soy Protein Supplementation Alters Body Weight and Composition in Free-Living Overweight and Obese Adults” in The Journal of Nutrition (http://jn.nutrition.org/content/141/8/1489.long).
Both articles are from a biomedical human research study evaluating the effects of differing protein sources, soy and whey protein on body composition and health status in men and women conducted at the Food Components and Health Laboratory, Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center, United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Beltsville, Md.
