The State University of New York Faculty Senate is sponsoring a poster presentation in Albany, N.Y.. Students are encouraged to participate by creating and presenting a poster that describes their scholarly or creative work.

This celebration is designed to bring together SUNY’s talented undergraduate scholars with SUNY Administration officials and members of our New York State Legislature and their office staff. The midday poster session will allow SUNY undergraduates the opportunity to present their research and creative academic projects to a large audience.

Poster Sessions

?The poster description, electronic mockup and faculty recommendation can be submitted to Danielle Benedict at and are due by Monday, Dec. 12. The actual symposium will take place in Albany, N.Y. on February 29, 2012. Winning students are required to attend the event.

Participating in this presentation project will give you contact with the many legislators, legislative office staff and visitors passing through the Legislative Office Building as well as contact with your fellow students from other SUNY colleges. There also are hopes to publish a journal of the proceedings from the event, which would solidify your activities into a permanent format.

We are currently in the process of seeking out monies so we can fund student travel. If you have any questions or if you’re interested and would like an application form please contact Danielle Benedict at
