Meet Timothy P. Minahan

Timothy P. Minahan, a current student with SUNY Empire State College's School for Graduate Studies, is the 2011-2012 student co-chair for the Student Affairs Committee.

Minahan is an alumna of Hudson Valley Community College and Siena College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance. He has worked in the banking industry since 1985. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Minahan also completed the BAI graduate program for retail banking at the University of Wisconsin.
In his current position as TD Bank vice president for government banking, Minahan is responsible for managing the relationships of government banking clients throughout New York state’s Capital Region, the Adirondack region and northeastern New York, as well as the state of Vermont.
Minahan has established himself in the banking industry and is a recipient of the Capital District Business Review’s 40 under 40 Award, the MS Leadership Award and the United Way of Northeastern New York’s Rising Star Award.
Minahan is a dedicated husband and father to 10-year-old twin boys. In his spare time, he enjoys running and has completed nine marathons as well as the 2008 Lake Placid Ford Ironman. Minahan also volunteers his time to many notable organizations, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region and March of Dimes of northeastern New York.
