The President’s Club: Leadership Level Support for Student Success

Before alumni were alumni, they were students first. That’s admittedly an obvious statement, but it’s also an important reminder that graduates of SUNY Empire State College know what it means to balance work, school, family, and more.

Like many Empire State students, they are working professionals, parents, veterans and non-traditional adult learners of all ages. Many of them chose SUNY Empire State College for reasons that may be familiar to you – to advance in a career, to complete a degree that may have been started somewhere else or long ago or to forge a new path.  These can be life-changing events for SUNY Empire students, so it’s no wonder why so many alumni also choose to support the college after graduation with donations large and small.

Alumni who donate $500 or more in a year join the President’s Club – a leadership giving society that recognizes a special level of support. These gifts provide Empire State College with the flexibility to respond to evolving student needs and to support a student-centered mission in four general areas:

  • Scholarships and foundation bridge loans: Resources that help students enroll and stay enrolled.
  • Faculty and staff development: Practical subject-area expertise, tailored mentoring, and industry-standard student support.
  • The academic program: Flexible, innovative preparation for professional success.
  • Greatest need: Whatever the college needs to advance its student-centered mission.

You can find a list of President’s Club members on the college’s Foundation website.

We deeply appreciate the support we receive from our alumni community and we join them in supporting you, the students of Empire State College. On behalf of the Office of Advancement, have a successful and enjoyable fall term!

The Office of Advancement is located in Alumni House, 28 Union Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. If you would like additional information or have any questions, please stop by or contact Jeff Walton, Advancement Officer, at or at 518-587-2100 x2413.
