Alumni Spotlight: Maureen McGuinness '15

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Maureen A. McGuinness, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse with 11 years of experience in her field and extensive expertise in all facets of nursing. Maureen is currently serving patients at the New York State Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OPPDD) in Bay Shore, New York. She acts as the lead nurse on the forensic cognitively impaired/psychiatric behavior unit.
Maureen received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing in 2012 from Suffolk County Community College, prior to obtaining her Bachelor degree of Applied Science in Nursing at SUNY Empire State College in 2015. Maureen maintains professional memberships the Long Island Disability Developmental Service Office, the American Nurses Association, and the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State. She attributes her success to her passion for caring.
