Several of the SUNY Empire State College locations are moving!
The transition of Troy to Latham is complete. New faculty offices have been selected for Duncan RyanMann, Gerry Lorentz, Desiree Roberts, Efrat Levy, Ronnie Mather, Ginger Schwartz, Diana Hawkins and Miriam Russell in Latham. Their telephone extensions will not change.
In addition, Alena Rodick, instructional designer for the School for Graduate Studies, will work out of Latham.
Two offices have been set aside in Latham for visiting college employees to reserve, as needed. Office and room reservations may be made here.
Empire State College’s Troy lease expires in February, according to AVP for Administration Rick Barthelmas. Questions or concerns can be directed to Kate.Colberg@esc.edu
The Fredonia location is moving its operation this month. The current Fredonia location, at 1 West Main St., will be closed to students on Jan. 26. During the following week, personnel and equipment will be moved to the SUNY Fredonia’s Technology Incubator building at 214 Central Ave. in nearby Dunkirk.
The telephone numbers for the SUNY Empire operation at the Technology Incubator will remain the same as they are now, but will likely change in the future.
Students are being notified by Dean of Undergraduate Studies Nikki Shrimpton; internal publications and the college’s website are being adjusted to reflect the move.
The move has been undertaken to upgrade space for students, faculty and staff in the Fredonia area and also is part of a larger plan to improve many of the college’s spaces across the state and better match its enrollment strategy with its physical footprint.
