November 27, 2017
The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence recognizes outstanding students who have integrated academic excellence with other aspects of their lives including leadership, community service, the arts, athletics, or career achievement. This award also offers the opportunity to display the quality of Empire State College students to the larger SUNY community and to identify exceptional students who have graduated or will graduate between June 2017 and May 2018.
Successful candidates will be invited to Saratoga Springs, NY on April 10, 2018 for a special luncheon with the president, interviews, photographs, and a tour of the SUNY ESC Alumni House. Next, the award recipients will head to Albany, NY for the recognition ceremony and reception with SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson.
To be considered for this award, students must first be nominated by a faculty and/or staff member of the college. The nominator must also provide one of the two required letters of recommendation that must accompany a nomination form.
For a copy of the nomination form or any questions about the award, please contact Danielle Boardman at x2255 or at Danielle.Boardman@esc.edu.
