Professor Justin Giordano, Expert in Law and Public Policy, Serves as Judge for Two Law-Student Competitions

Justin Giordano Professor Justin Giordano, left, served as the judge for two law school competitions earlier this month.

He judged the American Bar Association Law School Division 2011-12 National Appellate Advocacy Competition, March 1-3. This competition features law student teams from across the country. The regional segment was held at the United States District Court, Appellate Division, in Manhattan.

Additionally, on March 10, he served as judge for the Intercollegiate Mock Trial National Competition at Pace University Law School in White Plains. The competition featured university and college student teams from across the country.

Giordano teaches law and public policy; legal analysis and its application to current, historic, contemporary and related legal issues; and about legal issues in the music and entertainment industry. He is an attorney licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He is also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, The Court of the Armed Forces, United States Court of Federal Claims and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Giordano has published more than 70 articles on issues pertaining to law and society in a variety of forums, including scholarly publications, such as Law Review, and professional journals aimed at the legal profession and related audiences, such as members of the judiciary and legislature, as well as the public at large. He is the featured op-ed writer for the monthly Suffolk Lawyer, which has a circulation of approximately 5,000, as well as for the Queens Bar Bulletin. In addition, he publishes frequently in general-interest publications, writing on subjects related to his various areas of interest and expertise, targeted at the broader readership and population. He is also an Academic Visitor at Oxford University, United Kingdom.

Giordano received his Juris Doctor from Touro College School of Law, his M.B.A. in finance from St. John’s University and his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
