Over the past six months, there have been several new and exciting additions to the School for Graduate Studies curriculum. September 2014 saw the launch of two new business program options, the MBA in Global Leadership and the Veteran and Military Pathway to the MBA. The MBA in Global Leadership is a 45-credit, completely online program that is designed for those students who are interested in becoming leaders in multinational organizations. The program focuses on global management strategies and how to apply cross-cultural and business communication skills in an international business setting.
The Veteran and Military Pathway to the MBA recognizes the merits of military training and works to help the students in the program apply their experiences to civilian leadership roles. Veterans and current service members that have graduate level military training as recognized by the American Council of Education (ACE) may have the opportunity to apply that credit to accelerate the completion of their degree.
Two new advanced certificate programs are being offered online. The American Studies advanced certificate is a 12 credit program that can be applied to the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (beginning fall 2014). Innovation Management and Technology Transfer focuses on the management of innovation and applications within organizations. This 12 credit certificate program is fully applicable to the MBA in Management.
In addition to new program offerings, the Master of Arts in Labor and Policy Studies has been renamed. Effective in the fall 2014 term, it will now be called the Master of Arts in Work and Labor Policy. The change in title is meant to better reflect the program focus on workforce and workplace relations. For more information on our graduate degrees and certificates, visit www.esc.edu/Grad.
