The United University Professions, the union that represents SUNY faculty, has opened the application period for $3,000 scholarships for up to four SUNY undergraduates, and one graduate or professional student.
The scholarships are funded by contributions from UUP members and their families. The application deadline is March 1.
“The UUP College Scholarship Fund annually awards scholarships to a maximum of four SUNY undergraduates who have demonstrated their dedication to the goals and ideals of the labor movement and who excel academically,” according to the union. “To qualify, applicants must be full-time undergraduates enrolled at a SUNY state-operated campus and possess a minimum grade-point average of 3.75.”
