Heart of Mine

By Janice K. Wright (aka JK Wrights 2U), student, Center for Distance Learning

February 28, 2011

(This poem was written in observance of American Heart Month; February is dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease.)

This heart of mine holds the most delicate secrets;
Speaks candidly, always and frequent,
Truthful thoughts and intricate notions.
Rivers and streams flowing of sheltered emotions,
Intimately entrapped just because.
The keeper of a great magnitude of love;
The heart awareness philosophy observed in February denotes significance,
As the month is shared by lovely valentine’s symbolic existence;
As I addressed, “the well-being of the mind, body and soul.”
Remember, the heart is at the core of it all.
