Stewart's Shops Community College Scholarships
Who can apply for the scholarship?
Graduates of regional community colleges in the Stewart's Shops service area are eligible to apply.
Through the generosity of Stewart's Shops and the SUNY Empire Foundation, forty scholarships of $1,000 are available to graduates of community colleges in the Stewart's Shops service area (Adirondack, Cayuga, Clinton, Columbia-Greene, Dutchess, Fulton-Montgomery, Herkimer, Hudson Valley, Jefferson, Mohawk Valley, North Country, Onondaga, Orange, Schenectady, Sullivan, and Ulster Community Colleges) to attend Empire State University. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply. New students are also eligible, and recipients must have received an AA/AS degree from the applicable community college. Application essay is required.
What does the scholarship cover?
Total scholarships of $1,000 towards tuition and fees are distributed as $500 per term in the Fall and Spring.
How do I apply?
Submit an online application through the FAST portal at www.sunyempire.edu/FAST. Log in with a SUNY Empire e-mail address and password, students must first submit a General Application then click on the "Recommended Opportunities" tab to submit the supplemental essay for the Stewart's Shops Scholarship. Applications for 2024-25 will be accepted April 2 through July 31, 2024.
