Empire State College's School of Nursing has programs designed for registered nurses with an active New York state RN license.

Pursue a college degree online and on a part-time basis.

The RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program aims to promote community health and excellent patient care, enhance retention and career advancement of highly educated nurses, prepare nurses to assume leadership roles in health care settings and provide a pathway for nurses to pursue advanced degrees.

The Master of Science in Nursing program prepares graduates to advance nursing practice in a complex and evolving health care environment by gaining competencies in provision of patient-centered care, working in interprofessional teams, employing evidence-based practice, applying quality improvement approaches and utilizing informatics.

The Master of Science in Nursing Education is the School of Nursing's initial M.S. area of specialization.
