SUNY Empire Invites Community to Participate in "America's Parade"
Location: New York City, NY
SUNY Empire State College will participate in “America’s Parade,” held annually in New York City on Veterans’ Day, Nov. 11. All members of the college community and their families are invited to participate in this inspirational event.
Detailed Information (where to meet, parade route and more)
The Office of Veteran and Military Education has sponsored events in the past, utilizing funding provided through the student activity fee. Veteran and military students/alumni and their families and friends have spent the day at Darien Lake (since 2011) and Six Flags Great Escape (since 2012), enjoying rides, the water park, a barbecue picnic, giveaways and raffle items. Both events have gained interest since their inception and attendance has steadily increased.
