Although Empire State College is a nonresidential college, the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a federal law that requires colleges and universities across the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses, including property not necessarily owned or maintained by the college.
We are required to publish an annual report that contains crime statistics from the three previous years and certain security-policy statements, including sexual assault policies that ensure basic victims' rights, assert the law-enforcement authority of campus police and describe where/how students should report crimes.
The report is available to all current students and employees. It is the responsibility of the Office of Campus Safety and Security to collect crime reports and distribute the annual crime statistics and report by Oct. 1 of each calendar year.
You will need Adobe Reader to open these files. If you are unable to open them, please contact the college's Office of Campus Safety and Security to have a copy sent to you.
