President Lisa Vollendorf Featured on Higher Digital Podcast

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- November 22, 2023) Empire State University President Lisa Vollendorf recorded a podcast with Joe Gottlieb, President and CTO of Higher Digital, a company that focuses on digital strategy and communications for higher education. The episode, titled “Overcoming Imperfect Incentives to Serve Learners of All Ages”, is part of the Presidential Series on the “TransformED” podcast.  

The podcast focuses on how higher education can achieve a resurgence through culture, strategies, people, processes, and technology. 

President Vollendorf discussed Empire State University’s focus on truly meeting students where they are to serve four generations of learners, and the importance of not only focusing on first-time, full-time students, retention, and graduation rates as a measure of success. 

“We need to help break through the elitism that we suffer from in higher education,” President Vollendorf said. “We need to let people know that everyone can dream the dream of college.”
