Professor Thomas Mackey Interviewed by The Sanctuary for Independent Media

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - October 13, 2023 Empire State University Professor Thomas Mackey was recently interviewed about the university's new digital media arts program by The Sanctuary for Independent Media, a non-profit organization that uses art, science, and participatory action to promote social and environmental justice and freedom of creative expression.

The bachelor’s degree in digital media arts will prepare students for careers in graphic design, content creation, web design, and digital storytelling. This innovative program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the rapidly evolving world of digital media. Students can enroll in the digital media arts program at SUNY Empire beginning spring of 2024.

SUNY Empire’s digital media arts program was created in response to the increase in digital consumption by the emerging generation of digital natives. According to a study published about digital skills for career progress, the number of jobs requiring digital skills is predicted to increase 12% by 2024.
