Springer has published, “Cloud Computing and Services Science,” co-edited by Faculty Mentor Ivan Ivanov. This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the Second International Conference on Cloud Computing and Services Science, CLOSER 2012, held in Porto, Portugal, in April 2012.

“Cloud computing and services science are very active research fields. Although limited in coverage, I believe that the book is informative, provides important developments in cloud computing and services science, and will be the inspiration for further work in this exciting paradigm. I hope the readers agree,” says Ivanov.

The 15 papers were selected from among 145 submissions and are presented together with one invited paper. The book includes several features that will be helpful, interesting and inspirational to students, researchers, practitioners and decision makers.

The book:

  • provides a wealth of key concepts in the development of services science advancement from software to infrastructures and outsourcing, and the advancements of cloud computing platforms, applications and enabling technologies
  • offers a balanced presentation of both services science and its role in cloud computing
  • provides a comprehensive foundation for future development in this growing professional field.

The book is now available at Springer and at Amazon.
