Student Government Association Elections

It’s that time of year again, Bluebirds!   

The SUNY Empire Student Government Association is excited to announce the start of the SGA Election Season beginning this February!!  

Our student government is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students who are charged with ensuring that the student experience at SUNY Empire is excellent. We engage with our fellow students through various events, activities, and programs. We listen and advocate for YOU by actively contributing to school policies and student initiatives. 

Each year the student body elects the Student Government Association Executive Board and Student Senators in a week-long college-wide election that begins at the Spring Student Conference.  

Register today for this in-person event held at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY, on April 13-15, where we’ll be hosting the Student Caucus and SGA Candidate Information Session. 

Now is your opportunity to make a difference as a voice for your peers! Consider running for Executive Office or Student Senate! 

Membership in the SGA offers you the chance to participate in school governance and develop and hone your professional skill set, including effective communication, research, presenting ideas, organizing meetings and events, and collaborating with different groups.
