Recruitment Council

The charge of the Recruitment Council* is as follows:

  • To review, analyze, and recommend strategies and tactics to increase undergraduate and graduate new student recruitment and yield. 
  • To develop and/or achieve strategic goals for new student recruitment. Facilitate and review action team plans, make recommendations and report progress to SEM Steering Committee.
  • To develop and charge subcommittees aimed at advancing strategic recruitment efforts based on identified SEM strategics, goals and tactics.
  • To review and approve subcommittee action plans, make recommendations, and report progress to SEM Steering Committee.

Retention Council

The Retention and Persistence Council * is in charge of the following:

  • To review, analyze and recommend strategies and tactics to increase undergraduate and graduate student persistence throughout the student lifecycle.
  • To develop and charge subcommittees aimed at advancing strategic retention and persistence efforts based on identified SEM strategies and tactics.
  • They study institutional retention and graduation trends, including subpopulations, majors, melt rates, etc. Identify opportunities to further improve student outcomes.
  • The council reviews and approves subcommittee action plans, make recommendations, and report progress to SEM Steering Committee.

The charge of the Marketing and Communications Council * is as follows:

  • To review, analyze and recommend strategies and tactics to increase lead and application generation through marketing and communication initiatives.
  • To develop and achieve goals for marketing initiatives.
  • They facilitate and review action plans regarding marketing and communication initiatives intended to increase lead and application generation.
  • They develop and charge subcommittees aimed at reviewing current website for maintenance and build of new website.
  • To review and approve subcommittee action plans, make recommendations, and report progress to SEM Steering Committee regarding marketing, communication, and website plans.

  • Develop and achieve objectives for technology initiatives
  • Facilitate and review action plans regarding technology initiatives.
  • They develop and charge subcommittees aimed at reviewing current website for maintenance and build of new website.
  • Review and approve subcommittee action plans, make recommendations, and report progress to SEM Steering Committee regarding technology initiatives.
