A Letter from the Senator of the School of Graduate Studies

Dear SUNY Empire Community,

As a part-time graduate student in the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program, I will be part of the SUNY Empire community until late 2024 / early 2025. I introduce myself as one of the three newly elected Student Government Association (SGA) senators for the School of Graduate Studies for the 2022-2023 academic year. This academic year I anticipate collaborating with the Bluebird Committee and the Engagement Committee (S.E.E.N.). In addition, I will represent our college as a delegate in the SUNY Student Assembly.

I have a commitment to both students and faculty throughout this academic year, with a goal of advancing the culture of excellence here at SUNY Empire. I am open to exploring new ideas, meeting the needs of students, and interacting with college community members more efficiently.

In a recent visit to the new facility located at 4 Park Ave. in New York City, I had the pleasure and honor of meeting several students and staff at the Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 18. This was a splendid opportunity to meet my fellow classmates, staff, professors, and alumni in person and become connected to our community. Through the remainder of 2022 and the 2023 spring term, I will actively participate in events and meet many of you online or in person.

Please know that my door is open to you. I welcome your conversation and input during this year. I cannot wait to begin working for our SUNY Empire community and to celebrate our collective successes during the 2022-23 academic year. Enjoy the remaining days of summer!

Sincerely,

Kae Kriegel
